Bye Week Injury Report From Kalen DeBoer
Almost all signs were positive for Alabama following the Crimson Tide's 42-10 win over the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, but Alabama did not leave the game unscathed. The Crimson Tide saw three players, two starters, leave the field with injuries.
Kalen DeBoer provided updates on the three players, as well as wide receiver Cole Adams, who left Alabama's 42-16 win over the South Florida Bulls last Saturday with an injury.
On Cole Adams
"I think it's positive steps that we're seeing," Kalen DeBoer said.
Adams left the win over South Florida in the third quarter with an upper-body injury. DeBoer mentioned in a pregame interview in Madison, Wisconsin that Adams would likely be back for the Crimson Tide's matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs.
On Qua Russaw
"I think he probably later in the week will be able to do some things for us," DeBoer said.
Russaw left Alabama's win over Wisconsin in the first half with a lower-body injury. He did not return to the game, although Alex Scarborough of 247 Sports reported that Russaw did not tear anything in his knee, which means he should return to the lineup for Alabama at some point this season.
On Malachi Moore
"A lot of positive signs there with him," DeBoer said.
Moore left the game against Wisconsin in the third quarter with an upper-body injury, and DeBoer said postgame that he was going through "the protocol" likely indicating a concussion. While no official diagnosis was released by Alabama, the mandatory SEC injury report will provide a little clarity on the injury as Alabama prepares for Georgia next week.
On Richard Young
"I'm not sure on Richard. We've gotta continue to evaluate," DeBoer said.
Young left Alabama's win at Wisconsin late in the contest due to a lower-body injury. It is unclear his status ahead of Alabama's September 28 matchup with Georgia.
