Clem Named to SEC Community Service Team
Alabama graduate student and soccer player Macy Clem was named to the 2023 Southeastern Conference Soccer Community Service Team, the SEC office announced this week.
Having made 100 appearances in her Alabama soccer uniform, Clem has served as a leader both on and off the field for the Head Coach Wes Hart's Crimson Tide. She is just the second player ever for Alabama soccer to hit the century mark in games played.
Throughout her five years, she has volunteered with several organizations and has given back to the Tuscaloosa area community.
Here are but a few of the activities that led to Clem garnering the honor:
She was part of Woodland Forest Elementary's Welcome Back Event, where she greeted students and welcomed them on their first day of school. It's not every day those students get to meet a UA athlete.
Clem has volunteered with the Rise Center and Crossing Points, two organizations that work with individuals with special needs. Both those are near and dear to her heart.
She has also volunteered with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a Night to Shine and UA's Halloween Extravaganza.
In the classroom, Clem is a two-time Dean's List honoree and also has been named the Alabama Student-Athlete of the Month for her contributions to the community in September of ths year.
She is an intern with the Crimson Tide Foundation.
Clem is currently working on a graduate degree in sports hospitality management.
Already a UA graduate, Conifer, Colo. native Clem got her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2023 in human performance and exercise science with a minor in psychology.
