Coach Nate Oats has landed four-star small forward, Jusaun Holt out of St Francis Day school in Roswell, Georgia.

According to 24/7Sports Composite, Holt is 123rd ranked player in the 2021 class and ranked top 25 at his respective position.

The Crimson Tide were the presumed favorites to land him after he released his top six schools at the end of August.

In an interview with BamaOnLine, Holt had good things to say about Alabama's basketball program.

“I can see myself at Bama because of the play style and the way it would excel my game to a different level. “My relationship is great with coach Oats, and he reminds me of my high school coach I have now,” Holt said.

With John Petty and Herb Jones moving on to the NBA after this season, Alabama desperately needed some depth on their roster. The addition of Holt should help them in that department.

As of right now, the Tide have a pretty talented roster, and expect big time contributions from newcomers, Josh Primo, Keon Ellis, Keon Ambrose Hylton, and Alex Tchikou.

Oats told, that he believes depth is incredibly important to a team’s overall success.

“I think you have to have punch off the bench. If you put your five best scorers on the floor to start the game, that doesn’t always work the best.”, said Oats.

The NCAA announced last week, that the 2020-21 Division I men's college basketball season will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

The team will begin practicing very shortly, as preseason practices start up on October 14, assuming they don't experience any COVID-19 related complications and delays.

After going 16-15 in 2019, fans have extraordinary expectations for Oats and his boys going into 2020.
