This morning, the final AP poll of the regular season came out and the Crimson Tide found themselves falling out of the AP Top 25. In the past couple weeks, Bama hovered around the No. 24 and No. 25 spot in the rankings. However, after a disappointing week, the Tide find itself unranked going into the SEC tournament.

Alabama went 0-2 this past week, taking losses to Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday 87-71, and losing an overtime thriller 80-77 against LSU on Saturday. This was the third time this season that the Tide have gone winless in the same week, but the only time this season that the Tide lost back to back games to unranked teams.

The Tide are the No. 6 Seed in the SEC tournament and have a first round bye, they are set to play the winner of the Vanderbilt vs Georgia game for its first game of the tournament. Bama lost the only regular season match-up with Georgia, 82-76, and squeaked out a win against Vanderbilt this season, 74-72.

Whoever they play will not be an easy game for the defending SEC champs. Bama will look to defend their SEC title starting on Thursday. If they win, they will play Kentucky, who swept the Tide this season.
