Derrick Henry, former Heisman winner at Alabama and 2019 NFL rushing champion, has secured a second consecutive rushing title. Going into week 17, Henry holds a 220 yard lead over Dalvin Cook from the Minnesota Vikings, but due to the passing of Cook's father this week he will not be playing in their upcoming matchup against the Lions, meaning Henry will be this years champion.

Henry currently has 1,777 rushing yards going into the Titans week 17 game against the Texans, and is eyeballing the 2,000 yard mark. He has rushed for over 200 yards in his last two contests against the Texans, so it is not crazy to think he could replicate those performances and eclipse 2,000 yards on the season. The Yulee, FL native is just 223 yards short of becoming the second player in Titans franchise history to rush for over 2,000 yards in one season. The last of which was Chris Johnson back in 2008, which you may remember was the last time Tennessee won the AFC South as well.

While Johnson and Henry could not be more different in their play-style, Henry has lead his team much like Johnson did back in 2008, which was also the last time the Titans won more than 9 games in a season, until this year.

The Tennessee Titans are sitting atop their division at 10-5, and have relied almost entirely on their offense to get them there, crushing teams with the bruising running style of Derrick Henry.  In his five years in Tennessee, Henry has solidified himself as a Nashville legend alongside Eddie George, Earl Campbell, and Chris Johnson. Whoever draws the Titans in this years playoffs will have a tall task stopping the man they call "El Tractorcito".
