Lots of changes have been happening to the Alabama football team, leaving people wondering if 2023 will be another rebuilding year for the Tide. The team has brought on two new coordinators, Tommy Reese and Kevin Steele, as well as a new starting lineup.

ESPN recently published a statistical analysis study about team projections for 2023 and Alabama is not looking good. The Tide found itself on ESPN's "most likely to regress in 2023" list, mostly due to staff changes.

Alabama is among the top five other schools ranking 75th or worse in returning production, including TCU, Kansas State, UTSA, and Iowa.

The Tide is losing the ninth most 2022 production of any of the 133 teams next season. Less than half of production from last season is returning, putting Alabama at 125th in the country.

Bill Connelly is the ESPN writer who put together the list and needless to say did not have high hopes for Alabama in 2023.

"I'm not going to pretend to be all that worried about Nick Saban," he wrote. "He's still only two seasons removed from fielding his best-ever team (the 2020 rendition), and while Georgia has clearly surpassed the Crimson Tide for now, the Tide still finished second in SP+ in each of the past two seasons... that said, Saban is going to be dealing with quite a bit more change than usual in 2023."

Uncertainty is hovering over Tuscaloosa as new faces join the scene and lots of questions that need answers before the fall remain.

Offensively, there hasn't been a new quarterback in a few years, and fans want to know if Jalen Milroe or Ty Simpson will be the one to start. Defensively, the Tide is losing powerhouse Will Anderson along with several other impactful players.

The last time Alabama entered the season with both new coordinators and quarterbacks was 2018, where they proceeded to win the National Championship of that year.

Saban has a lot on his plate and a lot to prove in 2023. Will the Tide come out on top once again, or is the dynasty coming to an end?
