Hand was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 2018 NFL Draft, following Alabama beating Georgia in the National Championship. Hand played in 30 games with the Lions, starting in 11 of those contests. The Woodbridge, Va. native recorded three sacks and three force fumbles in his four years with Detroit.

Hand dealt with a series of injuries during his tenure in Detroit, which led to him being released in November 2021. He was signed to the Indianapolis Colts in December 2021, but was shortly released on New Year's Eve.

Following his short tenure with the Colts' practice squad, Hand signed to the Tennessee Titans' practice squad in January 2022. Hand signed with the Titans on a reserve/futures contract in February and made the team's 53-man roster.

Hand was unable to make an impact with the Titans, as his season ended before he was able to record a tackle.

Hand played in 30 games, recording nine sacks and 71 tackles in four years as a member of the Crimson Tide. He was a part of two national championship teams at Alabama, in 2015 and 2017.
