Former Alabama Quarterback Partners with Mental Health Company
Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has partnered with BetterHelp, a mental health organization that works to make therapy easily accessible to everyone.
"Loving yourself isn't vanity, it's sanity. And the storms of life don't seem too bad when you have the people around you that can support you," said Hurts in the sponsored Facebook post.
The former second-round pick has been an active member in his community. Hurts' Instagram is filled with images and videos of him helping the people around him, including mentoring a youth football camp, participating in a quarterback camp and Challenge with the Eagles Autism Foundation, and giving back to local teams around Philadelphia, Penn.
"My name is Jalen Hurts, quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles, and I am so excited to partner with BetterHelp to discuss the importance of mental health. BetterHelp is a mental health platform that provides service to elite professionals through ways of video call, phone call, or even text."
"So, I encourage anyone in need, going through anything, seek BetterHelp. God bless. Sending love," said Hurts.
Hurts takes the field for his third season in the National Football League on September 11, 2022, against the Detroit Lions at noon CST.
