Former Alabama Running Back Signs New Deal
Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders have agreed on a new one-year deal.
"He’s back: The #Raiders and star RB Josh Jacobs have agreed to terms on a new one-year contract that can be worth up to $12M, sources tell me and @TomPelissero, taking the place of the franchise tag. The NFL rushing leader returns on a deal that includes a signing bonus," posted NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on X.
Jacobs was franchise tagged by Las Vegas in March and was holding out during training camp until a deal was agreed on.
Last season, he recorded 340 rush attempts for 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Las Vegas Raiders and won the 2022 NFL Rushing Title.
The Raiders play their preseason finale against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at 7 p.m. CT. Coverage will be on Tide 100.9 FM and the Tide 100.9 app which is free to download in the App Store.
