Being the son of a former professional wrestler doesn't mean you will get signed by the largest pro wrestling company in the world. Being a former state wrestling state champion doesn't mean you will sign with them either. But being both will greatly increase your chances. As a former state wresting champion and son of a former pro, Ben Buchanan now has this chance. Buchanan has signed with WWE's Performance Center and soon will be working with WWE's development brand, NXT.

Buchanan is the son of former WWF Tag Team champion, Bull Buchanan. The older Buchanan, Bull, most famously known for his time in the WWF stable, Right to Censor, a group who's sole mission to clean up the wild and crazy nature of WWE during the Attitude Era. If you know you know as they say. During his time with the stable, he would win the WWF Tag Team titles alongside the former Godfather, the Goodfather.

The younger Buchanan, Ben, is a former champion in his own right. While living in Ranbourne, AL, He won the 2019-2020 Alabama state high school wrestling championship going undefeated in the 285-pound weight class. Now standing at 6-foot-4 250lbs, Buchanan should be a force to be wrecking with like his dad back in his hay day.

Buchanan wasn't the only second-generation wrestler in this recruiting class. The WWE Performance Center also signed Joseph Fatu. Fatu is the son of WWE Hall of Famer, Rikishi and the younger brother of former West Alabama linebackers, Johnathan and Joshua Fatu, who now known as Jimmy and Jey Uso and are the current Smackdown Tag Champs. The future is bright for both of this recruit as well as the rest of their class.
