Trevor Etienne, 2022 running back out of Jennings, LA and brother of former Clemson Tigers star Travis Etienne, has named Alabama in his top five schools along with Florida, Clemson, Georgia and LSU. The 2022 prospect is ranked as the No. 14 running back in the class by 247Sports and was named a member of the 3A All-State team last season.

Etienne previously released his top 10 schools in June, but has since trimmed the list down, removing Texas A&M, Penn State, Auburn, Florida State and Tennessee from the running for the four-star back.

In his last two seasons, Etienne rushed for nearly 4000 yards and racked up over 50 touchdowns, earning his status as a premier talent in the class. With a build very similar to that of his brother, Travis, Etienne has excellent power and is very hard to bring down in open space.

Although he is being recruited as a running back, Etienne also plays free safety and shows some great physicality as well as decent coverage ability. With a stacked Alabama running back room for years to come, could Etienne make a switch to the defensive side of the ball if he lands with the Crimson Tide?

Etienne likely still has an entire season to play before he makes his final decision, but a recent interview with Louisiana Football Magazine may shed some light on his decision. Etienne, when asked about his college decision, said, "Everyone wants to win a championship, and that's the main goal for me."

The Crimson Tide championship pedigree speaks for itself, and if that's what Etienne wants, where better to win one?
