The University of Alabama has released the lineup of events for next weekend's action-packed Homecoming game and parade, with a Crimson Tide Legend set to serve as grand marshal.

Not to risk the ire of head football coach Nick Saban by looking past Saturday's away game against Texas A&M, but here's what fans can expect ahead of the October 14th bout with the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Roll Tide Run 5K is this Sunday, October 8th, and kicks off at 5 p.m. on the campus Quad near Autherine Lucy Hall. The event is open to students, alumni and community members and tickets to register are $25 - learn more here.

A homecoming kick-off event follows at 6 p.m. Sunday in the UA Student Center Lawn and will include a Spades and lawn games tournament.

Monday brings a bowling competition and UA student night at Bowlero on McFarland Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The UA Rec Center will host a Homecoming dodgeball competition at 5:30 Tuesday in their indoor basketball courts of the South Gym.

A flag football competition follows Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on the UREC Intramural Fields, and a ticketed choreography competition will be held inside Coleman Coliseum on Thursday at 6 p.m. Thursday also brings an 8 p.m. trivia competition in the Student Center Theater.

The annual pep rally, bonfire and crowning of the Queen will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday on the Quad, with a step show in Coleman Coliseum at 8.

Finally, the parade will kick off at 7 a.m. Saturday, with Bama legend Geroge Teague as Grand Marshal, ahead of an 11 a.m. kickoff vs. the Razorbacks.

Teague was a superstar safety for the Tide in the early 90s and was a major factor in their 1993 Sugar Bowl victory over the Miami Hurricanes before an eight-year career in the NFL, where he made almost 450 combined tackles in more than 130 games.
