Alabama Edge Defender Taken to Hospital After Practice Injury
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - It was a scary sight at Alabama's football practice on Tuesday morning, as the Crimson Tide saw linebacker Jah-Marien Latham taken off the practice field in an ambulance, according to a report from Yea Alabama, Alabama's NIL Collective.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer released a statement on Latham's injury:
“During today’s practice session, Jah-Marien Latham sustained a neck injury. He was transported to UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital for further evaluation and care," DeBoer said.
"We are pleased to report that Jah has full feeling and motion, and he is currently undergoing a thorough medical assessment to determine the next steps in his recovery.
Our top priority is Jah’s health and well-being. We are in close contact with his family and the medical team and will continue to support him in every way possible."
Latham is in his sixth season at Alabama, playing the Tide's Wolf linebacker position alongside Qua Russaw.
Latham totaled two tackles in Alabama's opening-season loss to Florida State and has not recorded a stat since. Kalen DeBoer mentioned he was banged up following the Crimson Tide's 31-17 loss to the Seminoles.
Over his six-year Alabama career, Latham has totaled 43 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one pass breakup.
Latham's timeline of recovery is unclear, but the bigger concern is his long-term health after a scary injury.
