Jam Miller Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watchlist
Alabama starting running back Jam Miller has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, awarded annually to the best college football player from the state of Texas.

Miller's 2025 season will start a little later than he would have liked after he suffered a dislocated collarbone in Alabama's second scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday. The Crimson Tide will turn to Richard Young and Daniel Hill to shoulder the load until Miller returns to the lineup.
However, Miller will likely return as Alabama's top option at running back when he's healthy. As Alabama's leading running back in the 2024 season, he averaged 4.6 yards per carry, rushing for 668 yards and seven touchdowns. Miller also hauled in 16 receptions for 155 yards and one touchdown during the 2024 season.
During his three-year Crimson Tide career, Miller has averaged 5.0 yards per carry, rushing for 1,092 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's hauled in 21 receptions for 227 yards and two touchdowns.
Miller was a four-star running back in the 2022 recruiting class from Tyler, Texas. He was ranked as the No. 79 overall prospect in the 2022 class and the No. 4 overall player in his class. Miller flipped his commitment from Texas to Alabama in November 2021, signed with the Crimson Tide in December 2021, and enrolled at Alabama as an early enrollee in January 2022.
In high school at Tyler Legacy High School, Miller was the all-time leading rusher with almost 4,700 rushing yards and nearly 1,000 receiving yards in his four-year career. In his senior season, he rushed for 13 touchdowns.
