Kadyn Proctor Won’t Play Vs. Michigan
The Crimson Tide will be without its star offensive tackle when Alabama takes on Michigan in the Reliaquest Bowl on December 31.
According to Tony Tsoukalas of Tide Illustrated, the Crimson Tide's starting left tackle will not play in the Reliaquest Bowl and will undergo shoulder surgery to repair an issue.
Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 369-pound left tackle, started 10 out of 12 available games for Alabama in 2024. He missed the first two games of the season due to a shoulder injury he suffered in pregame warmups ahead of Alabama's victory over Western Kentucky.
He earned second-team All-SEC honors from the league coaches in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, Proctor allowed just two sacks across 304 pass-blocking snaps.
Tsoukalas reports with Proctor out, Alabama will likely replace him with redshirt freshman Wilkin Formby, who has appeared in eight games for Alabama in 2024 on a rotating basis with Elijah Pritchett at right tackle. Formby has started two games in the 2024 season for Alabama.
Alabama (9-3) will kick off against Michigan (7-5) at 11:00 a.m. CT on December 31 in the Reliaquest Bowl. The game will be televised on ESPN.
