Lane Kiffin Responds to Nick Saban’s ‘Rat Poison’ Rant on Twitter

Although Coach Nick Saban doesn't use social media, if he was on Twitter he would probably hit the unfollow button on his former offensive coordinator.

Former Alabama offensive coordinator and now head coach of the Florida Atlantic Lane Kiffin responded to Nick Saban's comment about the media being 'rat poison' to his players after Alabama 27-19 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies.

"I'm trying to get our players to listen to me, instead of listening to you guys," Saban said on Saturday. "All that stuff you write about how good we are, all that stuff they hear on ESPN, it's like taking poison, rat poison. "So I'm asking them are you going to listen to me or you going to listen to these guys about how good you are. We're not going to beat everybody 66-3."

Kiffin back tracked on making it seem like his tweet was directed in a negative light of Alabama, so he complimented Saban and new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll on the job they are doing with their running attack this season.

But Kiffin didn't stop his fun on Twitter, he also used the attention from his previous tweet and responded to a couple of his Twitter followers.

In his first season with the Florida Atlantic Owls, Kiffin is 3-3 for the season and his team is averaging 258.7 yards running, 15th in the country and averaging 34.2 points per game, top 50 in the college football.
