Former Alabama Running Back Mark Ingram Inducted into 2026 College Football Hall of Fame
Former Alabama running back Mark Ingram will be cemented in college football history forever, with the National Football Foundation announcing on Wednesday that the former Heisman winner and Crimson Tide running back will be inducted into the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame.

Ingram, a native of Flint, Michigan, signed with former Alabama head coach Nick Saban as a member of Saban's staggering 2008 recruiting class. He played three seasons with the Crimson Tide, totaling 3,261 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns while catching 60 passes for 670 yards and four scores during his three seasons with the Crimson Tide.
Ingram became Alabama's first-ever Heisman Trophy winner in 2009, rushing for 1,658 yards and 17 touchdowns while catching 32 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns. His stellar season helped lead the Crimson Tide to an undefeated 14-0 season, defeating the Florida Gators to claim the SEC championship and the Texas Longhorns to claim the 2009 BCS National Championship, the first of six national championships Saban would win at Alabama.
Ingram becomes the 28th former Crimson Tide player or coach to be enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame, and is the Crimson Tide's third inductee since 2024, joining Antonio Langham (2024) and Nick Saban (2025). He currently holds the third-most rushing touchdowns in program history with his 42, and is seventh all-time in career rushing yards at Alabama. He was drafted No. 28 overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2010 NFL draft.
