Taulia Tagovailoa, known to most Tide fans as Tua Tagovailoa's younger brother, is intending to stay with the University of Maryland Terrapins for his senior season.

Announced just last week, the former Tide backup says he ''found a home in Maryland.'' Touted as one of the best QBs in the Big Ten, Taulia was a 2nd team all-Big Ten selection, with 18 touchdowns thrown and over 3,000 yards passing.

He got the Terrapins to eight wins this season and bowl eligible. It was the first time the program had that many wins since the 2010 season.

Taulia hit the transfer portal in 2020 after Tua had left to go to the draft. Only a week later, he announced he found his new start with the Maryland Terrapins. He has since quietly become one of Maryland's most decorated quarterbacks, with program records in many categories (passing yards, passing completions, passing touchdowns, and total offense).

The Hawaii native is looking to make the jump to get the Terps over the hump in the always competitive Big Ten conference, while also improving his stock come draft time in 2024.

Maryland will start the 2023 season against in-state rivals the Towson Tigers. They open Big Ten play versus Michigan State a couple weeks later.
