Report: Belitnikoff Winner Jordan Addison Works Out With Bryce Young
The college football transfer portal closed on Sunday, May 1 but the chaos and speculation are alive and well as over 1,500 athletes are still in the portal, searching for a new school.
The hottest name in the portal is Pittsburgh wide receiver Jordan Addison. Addison, the 2021 Fred Belitnikoff Award winner, entered the portal over the weekend and has the college football world eating out of the palm of his hands.
According to a report from Max Olson of The Athletic, Addison is out in California today working out and training with the Heisman Trophy winner, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
The 6-foot-2 receiver is reportedly considering going to Southern California, Alabama, Texas or even returning to Pittsburgh for the 2022 season. He caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2021 and is looking for one more big statistical season to cement his status as the top receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
Addison will be picking between a number of prominent quarterbacks this offseason, Alabama of course has Young, USC boasts Caleb Williams, Texas has Quin Ewers and Pittsburgh brings in Trojan transfer Kendon Slovis to replace Kenny Pickett.
The Crimson Tide has already dipped its toes in the water on a wide receiver this offseason. Alabama welcomed Georgia transfer Jermaine Burton ahead of spring practice and Louisville receiver Tyler Harrell after the conclusion of spring.
