This weekend's forecast calls for strong storms, and now is the time to make your severe weather plan.  The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has outlined the severe weather risk in the Day 3 Outlook. You can see that West Alabama and Mississippi are already under a 'slight' risk for this weather event.

ABC 33/40 Chief Meteorologist James Spann says these storms will impact our area between 12 p.m. and midnight on Saturday. Heavy rain, damaging winds, and tornadoes are all possible. The greatest threat for severe weather will be west of I-65.

We'll keep you updated as the forecast develops.
