Stetson Shuts Out Bama to End Baseball
Alabama's baseball season has come to an end, with the Crimson Tide going 0-2 in the Tallahassee Regional, with the second loss being a 4-0 shutout by Stetson to end the Tide's season.
Alabama's season comes to a disappointing end, especially after Alabama started promising in SEC play with a series win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
Ben Hess got the start for the Crimson Tide, potentially his last in a Crimson Tide uniform. Hess struck out eight batters but allowed four runs on five hits. Morris came in for relief for Hess and struck out two with no hits, but it did not matter, as Alabama was unable to capitalize on opportunities offensively.
At the plate, Alabama earned five hits, led by Kade Snell with two. Gage Miller and Ian Petrutz also earned hits for Alabama but no runs.
Now begins the tough offseason for Alabama baseball, with decisions being made for who is set to head to the MLB and who might transfer from the program. This will be Rob Vaughn's first full offseason as the Crimson Tide's head coach.
Alabama baseball finished its season 33-25 overall with a 13-18 record in SEC play. Alabama went 0-3 in the postseason, with losses to South Carolina in the SEC Baseball Tournament and UCF and Stetson in the NCAA Tournament.
