Alabama softball freshman pitcher, Vic Moten, received national recognition for her performance last weekend, being named Freshman of the Week by D1 Softball & Softball America.

Alabama's season came to an end in Game 2 of the NCAA Norman Super Regional matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners. The 13-2 win advanced the four-time defending National Champions to their ninth consecutive Women's College World Series (WCWS) and their 18th appearance in program history.

In their second meeting of the season, Alabama faced Oklahoma, a team they had previously bested in the regular season. However, the Sooners clearly sought to settle some unfinished business with a shutout opening Super Regionals victory.
