“The Game” Wins ABBY Award
The Alabama Broadcasters Association recognizes excellence in radio and television broadcasting each year at its annual ABBY Awards Dinner. Tide 100.9’s own Ryan Fowler was awarded “Best Daily Sports Radio Show in Alabama” for his weekly afternoon program “The Game.” Fowler has been in radio since 2000 and his program has won five ABBY Awards, this is his third time winning the “Best Daily Sports Show in Alabama”.
“The Game” focuses on Alabama football and college football as it pertains to the Crimson Tide. Fowler allows his listeners to call in and express their feelings about the Crimson Tide and he discusses every aspect of Nick Saban’s program to the fullest to give the Alabama nation the football information they crave year-round. “The Game” has several pertinent guests involved with college football who allow the audience to have an in depth feel for the Crimson Tide Program.
Fowler is supported by the Tuscaloosa Townsquare President David Dubose, and his producers who coordinate his interviews, prepare supplemental audio and press the correct buttons to keep Fowler on the air. Marquis Munson and Jacob Harrison produced “The Game” in 2019; Harrison prepared the audio reel submitted to the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
“The Game” runs Monday-Friday from 2-6 p.m. on Tide 100.9 Fm and can be heard nationally using the tide1009.com/listen-live link or on the TIDE1009APP. The program is supported by its primary sponsor Tuscaloosa Toyota. Call Fowler and congratulate him or just simply talk some Alabama football with him at (205)342-9904.
