Tide Hoops to Honor Elite 8 Team

Only one Alabama men's basketball team has ever advanced past the Sweet 16: the 20032004 Crimson Tide, which lost to eventual national champ UConn in the Elite 8 round.

That team will be honored at Saturday's Alabama/Texas A&M game which tips off at 11 a.m. CT at Coleman Coliseum.

While it's not certain who all will be able to actually attend, here's a list of invited team members and coaches:

Team Members: Kennedy Winston, Ernest Shelton, Chuck Davis, Antoine Pettway, Emmett Thomas, Jermario Davidson, Evan Brock, Demetrius Smith, Reggie Rambo, Jason Reese, Akini Atkins, Lucky Williams

Coaches - Mark Gottfried, Philip Pearson, Orlando Early, and Tom Asbury

Pettway currently is head coach at Kennesaw State while Pearson assists Andy Kennedy at UAB.

Winston and Pearson have been guests this season on the Tide Hoops Pregame Show with Hunter Johnson and Cary Clark, with Gottfried scheduled to join the sow as a guest in the near future.

Saturday's game will be aired on Tide 100.9, 1230 AM WTBC and 95.3 The Bear. The Tide Hoops Pregame Show will start at 9 a.m. CT on Tide and TBC.
