J.T. Tuimoloau, top ranked recruit for the 2021 class according to 247Sports, is still in the mix for Alabama's 2021 class. While the Tide held the top ranked class going into national signing day, Tuimoloau's decision is looming, and the trend towards the Tide has been growing.

Ohio State was an early favorite to land the five-star defensive end, but after a recent interview with Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, Ponce Faletoi, Tuimoloau's father, said a decision would not be coming until "At least April." As of now the Sammamish, WA native's top five includes USC, Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, and Washington.

247Sports continue to list the Buckeyes as the favorite to land Tuimoloau despite the Eastside Catholic product having not stepped foot on campus yet. The No. 1 ranked prospect has only visited Alabama, Oregon, Washington, and USC, with his visit to Tuscaloosa coming his sophomore year in 2019.

Although a decision from Tuimoloau is not expected until April at the earliest, the Tide's excellent pickups on national signing day could help sway the prospect towards Alabama. Alabama picked up five-star running back Camar Wheaton out of Texas, bolstering an already strong running back room, and with another five-star defender in Terrion Arnold coming, the 6-foot-4 277 pound defensive end may want to come to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama has already set a record for this year's recruiting class that could stand for years to come, but the Tide still is not finished. J.T. Tuimoloau looks to be a generational type talent that could be an instant impact player as soon as he steps foot on campus.
