Trevon Diggs becomes the second Crimson Tide defender selected in the 2020 draft. Diggs got picked with the 51st overall pick, mid-way through the second round. He will join former Alabama players HaHa Clinton-Dix and Savion Smith in the Cowboys defensive backfield.

Diggs opted to skip on playing in Citrus Bowl for Alabama and prepare for the NFL Draft, he did not participate in the Senior Bowl and only participated in a select few drills in the combine in February. Diggs is the younger brother of current Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

He suffered a broken foot in the 2018 season. He finished his Alabama career with 68 tackles, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.

The 51st pick in 2019 was A.J. Brown for the Tennessee Titans. He signed a four-year contract worth $5.6 million, Diggs will sign a similar contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
