United Way Hosts Donation Drive to Stock Tuscaloosa’s Warming Stations
The United Way of West Alabama is hosting the 'Stock Up the Truck Donation Drive' for Compassion Coalition on January 27th and 28th.
A press release from the United Way reads,
As the temperatures begin to drop, Compassion Coalition will open its warming stations to those in our community without a home or sufficient means to stay warm tonight and during the freezing days ahead. Items needed include blankets, toilet paper, crock pots, size 2 baby diapers and adult large and extra-large diapers.
Donations can be made at the United Way office in downtown Tuscaloosa (2720 6th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401) until 6 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The big United Way truck is parked in front of the office for convenient drop-offs. Donors may also bring their gifts inside if they would like a receipt for their donation.
