The reigning AP College Football Player of the Year is just over a month away from starting his second season as Alabama starter.
In his sophomore campaign the Californian had a breakout year for the Crimson Tide, passing for 4,872 yards, 47 touchdowns and only seven interceptions.
Young isn't the only Alabama player to go underwater this summer. In June, transfer wide receiver Jermaine Burton also was tossed into the cold pool for his birthday, officially welcoming him into the Crimson Tide family.
Malachi Moore filmed the tradition for posterity for both Young and Burton's proverbial baptisms.
Young and Burton are on a mission in 2022 to put the Crimson Tide back on top of the college football world. Despite a season in which Young was showered with individual awards, he's still called the 2021 campaign a failure.
