Over the last 20 years, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the New England Patriots  have come to symbolize excellence on the football field.

Since Nick Saban’s arrival in 2007, the Tide has claimed five national championships, six SEC championships and appearances in seven national championship games.

In the professional ranks, Bill Belichick has set a new standard by taking the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowl appearances along with an NFL record six Super Bowl crowns.

Both teams have enjoyed the “dynasty” label attached to their runs of dominance in the collegiate and professional football ranks. However, those runs will eventually come to an end.

Following New England’s win in the Super Bowl, former Alabama fullback Martin Houston, producer James Hardy, Tide 102.9 intern James Fletcher and various callers examined which team will have their era of dominance come to an end first.

The Blitz crew dove into the characteristics that have built the dynasties and areas such as the remaining longevity of Belichick and Saban and how the cultures of the two teams could keep their dynasties going into the near future.
