After a week of rest, the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide blew out the Texas A&M Aggies 100-75 to retake the top spot in the SEC.

The Tide were led in the scoring column by Mark Sears with 23 and Rylan Griffen with 17. Alabama had three more players hit double-digits, Latrell Wrightsell Jr. with 16, Aaron Estrada with 11, and Sam Walters with 11.

After his 23-point performance today, Mark Sears tied Collin Sexton for the most 20-point games by an Alabama player in program history with 16.

"Bucket-getter," said Latrell Wrightsell Jr. on Mark Sears "no more to say."

"He [Mark Sears] should be on the Player of the Year awards list [...] I mean, in our minds, he's a Player of the Year type player. So that's all that really matters to me. You know, I think he's the Player of the Year." said Rylan Griffen.

Today's scoring outburst marked the eighth time Alabama has broken the 100-point barrier this season, extending a program record set against LSU on January 27.

Texas A&M's leading scorer, Wade Taylor IV, was held to half his usual scoring output, only dropping ten points on 4-15 shooting against the Tide this afternoon.

"We both from Dallas," said Rylan Griffen. "I knew I was gonna guard him. We're real cool, so, I didn't want to let him know that I had any bragging rights. He got a little bragging rights last year for a small period of time. We played him again, so I just wanted to make sure he doesn't have that this year.".

With the 25-point win, the Crimson Tide stands alone at the top of the SEC again. Alabama holds a one-game lead over South Carolina and Auburn and a two-game lead over Tennessee.

The Crimson Tide are set to stay home Wednesday to take on the Florida Gators, who, like Texas A&M, are also fighting for an NCAA tournament spot.
