Senior guard Keon Ellis was also included in the all-SEC selections. Ellis was awarded a spot on the all defensive team. The all-SEC defensive team is by far the hardest to make considering there is only five spots available for the leagues premier defenders, whereas their are eight or nine spots on the other All-SEC teams. Ellis ran away with the team lead in steals at 1.9. Ellis has also proven to be one of the best two-way players in the conference as he is averaging 12.1 points and six rebounds a game.

The Crimson Tide will next be in action on Thursday against the winner of Vanderbilt and Georgia, as they look to defend their SEC Tournament Championship in Tampa Bay.
