The team led by head coach Wes Hart has worked its way to a 23-2-1 record, finished the season undefeated at home (13-0-0) and has made it to the College Cup for the first time in program history.

Prior to this season, the Crimson Tide had never won more than one NCAA Tournament game in a single season. The team also captured its first-ever SEC regular season title and made an appearance in the SEC tournament championship game for the first time since 1995.

Hart has been the head coach of Crimson Tide soccer since the Spring of 2015. This is his eighth season with Alabama and by far his most successful.

Senior Reyna Reyes scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period against Duke in the quarterfinals to propel Alabama to the College Cup for the first time in program history.

In addition to Hart's recognition, associate head coach Mike Piserchio, assistant coach Jerrod Roh and volunteer coach Ashleigh Ellenwood were all also recognized.

Piserchio has been with the Crimson Tide since 2015. He was promoted to associate head coach in March of 2020. He has known Hart for a long time since the two grew up together in Littleton, Colorado.

2022 is Roh's ninth season with the Crimson Tide soccer program. Roh assists Hart with personnel and tactical areas. He also aids in identifying prospects and coordinates recruiting visits.

Ellenwood is in her inaugural season with the Crimson Tide. She played professional soccer for the Chicago Red Stars after being a striker for the University of Arkansas in college. She scored the fourth most goals in Razorback's soccer history.

This year's team set season records for points (220), goals (76), assists (68), shots (528), shots on goal (224), wins (23) and shutouts (12).

The squad will look to make more history in Cary, North Carolina when they take on UCLA at 7:30 CT with a spot in the College Cup Championship on the line.
