Alabama freshman tight end Caden Clark entered the transfer portal on Thursday afternoon, reported by Matt Zenitz, the senior national college football reporter for On3Sports.

The Akron, Ohio, native, saw no field time this past football season.

Clark received an offer from the Crimson Tide in June of 2018 and committed on July 31, 2018. He had two visits in 2019 before officially signing with the Tide on December 18, 2019. Clark enrolled at The Capstone in January of 2021.

The four-star recruit from the class of 2020 ranked at No. 6 in tight ends-y, No. 6 prospect in Ohio, and the No. 25 prospect in the Midwest.

According to rolltide.com, "[Clark was] tabbed to the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association Division II All-Ohio Second Team as a senior; selected to the USA Today All-USA Ohio Football Team as a first-teamer following his junior season; caught 30 passes for 650 yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2018 campaign; and attended Archbishop Hoban where he was coached by Tim Tyrrell and helped the Knights to a Division II state title in 2017 and 2018."

Clark chose the Tide over offers from Ohio State, Miami, Michigan, Cincinnati, Iowa, and Kentucky.
