Kalen DeBoer Provides Injury Updates During ULM Press Conference
Alabama's loss to Florida State on Saturday was embarrassing, and injury was added to insult as the Crimson Tide lost three starters throughout the game. Ryan Williams left the game with a concussion, Jah-Marien Latham (who started at Wolf for Alabama) left the game in the first half and did not return, and Isaiah Horton (a transfer wide receiver from Miami) had just one catch before he departed the game with an injury.

In addition to those three, Alabama came into the game with three starters missing. Tim Keenan III injured his ankle and had tightrope surgery, Jam Miller dislocated his collarbone during Alabama's second scrimmage of fall camp, and Jaeden Roberts missed three weeks of fall camp with a concussion.
Safe to say, Alabama was banged up by the time Florida State started to rush the field on Saturday night.
On Monday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided injury updates on all six players who either missed the FSU game or went out during the FSU game.
"Jah-Marien Latham had a lower-body injury. We’ll see how he progresses," DeBoer said. "He’ll be day-to-day throughout this week.
“And then Isaiah Horton, really proud of the way he fought through a lower-body injury that he had, but just kept fighting through Saturday. Was certainly limited, still feeling that a little bit, but he just continued to compete. He’s someone that it doesn’t surprise me that’s what we saw. We expect him to be full-go by the end of the week. We’ll build up as he can tolerate here early on.
“Ryan will go through the concussion protocol throughout the week. He’ll have a day-to-day situation."
Ryan Fowler of Tide 100.9 reported during his radio show on Monday that Horton had a hip pointer injury.
DeBoer also gave a status update on Alabama's three starters who did not play against Florida State due to injury: right guard Jaeden Roberts, defensive tackle Tim Keenan III, and running back Jam Miller.
“Jaeden Roberts, I think everyone probably saw he was fully cleared. He’s been out there on the practice field for some time now. But just for everyone to feel good and taking full-go reps. He traveled. He could have gone in the game if we needed to, but didn’t have him play out there.
“Tim Keenan will be week-to-week just kind of moving forward, but he’ll still be out this week. And Jam Miller is still week-to-week, coming along real nicely with his progression. So optimistic there, here in the short future.”
Alabama will have until week four before the Crimson Tide gets a bye week to heal up. The Crimson Tide has two games against ULM and Wisconsin, both at home, before the first bye week of the season.
