Bama in the NFL: Week Four Outlook
Week four of the NFL season is upon us starting tonight when the Cowboys take on the Giants at 7:15. There are a lot of interesting matchups this week and a lot of divisional fights as well. Here are games that Bama players should make a huge splash in.
Vikings vs. Packers (Sunday, Noon):
Josh Jacobs (Packers) - With Jordan Love likely to be a game-time decision, the game plan for the Packers against the current number 1 defense in the league, should rely heavily on the run game. Expect Josh to see the majority of snaps from the backfield, but it could be a tough day on the ground.
Dallas Turner (Vikings) - With 5 tackles and a sack heading into this game, Dallas will look to continue his explosive play on defense. So far he has proved to be everything that the Vikings thought he would be, an absolute machine, and he is.
Will Reichard (Vikings) - Will has been absolute money for the Vikings, just like he was at Bama. The NCAA leading scorer has made all five attempted field goals and all ten extra points. Will will be utilized again in this big divisional game, so look for a possible game-winner from him here; looks to be a close game.
Titans vs. Dolphins (Monday, 6:30):
Calvin Ridley (Titans) - Coming off a disappointing performance from last week, Calvin's production relies heavily on his QB's performance (duh). With Levis being as inconsistent as ever and struggling in the passing game, expect modest performances from Ridley for now.
Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) - Another disappointing performance from a wideout due to qb issues. With Tua out production is down for Waddle and Hill. Expect more slow struggles this week as Tua is still out with a concussion.
Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) - Still out on concussion protocol, fastest return date would be in two weeks, after the four-week sit mark. Do not be surprised if they extend this period, especially if the Dolphins' season is not salvageable.
Lions vs. Seahawks (Monday, 7:15):
Jameson Williams (Lions) - Another sad performance from last week, but this week should be different as this game looks to be a possible shootout with both teams having high explosive play ability. Jamo should be a big part of the Lions' game plan to stretch the field, so be ready for a bounce back.
Jahmyr Gibbs - A good outing from Gibbs last week and no sign of a drop in his usage. Expect more big things from him this week, could be tricky against a good run d though.
Those are the biggest names and games to watch for this week four slate. Check back on Monday for the recap. Roll Tide and beat Georgia!!
