Bama in the NFL Week Six Recap
Week six has come and gone, and a lot of Bama players balled out. Let's get into their games.
Commanders - 23 vs. Ravens - 30:
Derrick Henry (Ravens) - Getting 24 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns on the ground it was clearly the king's game. There was no stopping Henry in this game and it is clearly paying off for the Ravens. His usage will continue to be high behind an o-line that, at this moment is one of the best in the league.
Browns - 16 vs. Eagles - 20:
Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - No turnovers at all for Hurts in this game! A great way to start coming out of the bye they had last week. Turnovers had been seriously plaguing Hurts' game through the first five weeks. More designed runs for Hurts helped in this regard as well as having both of his top receivers back. Tossing the rock for two touchdowns and 264 yards with 33 more yards on the ground, it was a good reset game for Hurts.
DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - Catching three of four balls for 64 yards and a touchdown, it was a good day back on the field for Smitty. Being as reliable as ever in this matchup, moving the chains for the Eagles when most needed.
Lions - 47 vs. Cowboys - 9:
Jameson Williams (Lions) - Going for 76 yards off of three catches with a touchdown, Williams had a great day. His over the top touchdown put the game away for the Lions, and was a beautiful play to watch. He looked back to being himself in this game as he is getting more comfortable in this offense and should continue to ball out.
Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) - Getting 12 carries for 63 yards, it was a modest day for Gibbs. Montgomery saw the other half of the carries in this game as he was running hard and fast too. An even split of carries between the two backs confirming the split backfield usage will continue. Still plenty of opportunities for Gibbs going forward.
Brian Branch & Terrion Arnold (Lions) - A great defensive showing from both players here. Branch getting a big interception in the first half that basically took the Cowboys out for good in the game. It was indeed a no-fly zone on this defense thanks to these two players, and with Hutchinson now out for the season, Terrion could be called on more.
Player of the Week: Derrick Henry
It's hard not to put him on this list. He balled and was clearly the best and most impactful skill player this week. Expect the same results week in and week out, barring injury or a drop in usage (Which should not happen). The King feasted again!
That does it for the week six recap. Check back Thursday for the week seven out look. Roll Tide and beat the Vols!
