With success at Ole Miss and with the New Orleans Saints, Deuce McAllister is a key figure in the history of football in the southeast. The Super Bowl champion made a name for himself as a power back who didn't shy away from contact.

The University of Alabama is known for producing a few power running backs of its own and McAllister joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to talk about some of the historic backs that came through the Crimson Tide program.

McAllister also talked on what it takes to play the position, his take on the modern college football game, how he got into football in the southeast and the importance of quality coaching, what he sees in new Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, player likeness compensation, and his charity work in the Gulf Coast area.
For more of Deuce McAllister's thoughts on Alabama's historic class of running backs, make sure you watch the video above the article. Don't miss The Game with Ryan Fowler weekday afternoons from 2-6 p.m. for all the latest news, breakdown and analysis surrounding the Alabama Crimson Tide.
