Former Alabama Defensive Back Signs With Lions
Former Alabama defensive back Brian Branch has inked his rookie contract with the Detroit Lions.
The Ga., spent three seasons at the Capstone (2020-22), recording 172 total tackles (111 solo, 61 assisted), 19.5 tackles for loss for 74 yards, four sacks for 25 yards, 27 passes defended, four interceptions, and one fumble recovery, as well as two punt returns for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Branch was drafted as the No. 45 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Lions.
He is the second Alabama alumnus to sign his rookie deal with Detroit this week, joining running back and No. 12 overall pick Jahmyr Gibbs.
