Former Alabama Wide Receiver Traded to Buffalo
Former Alabama Wide Receiver Amari Cooper is on the move once again, as Jordan Schultz reports Cooper is being traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills.
The trade includes a third-round pick from the Buffalo Bills going to the Cleveland Browns in return for Cooper.
This marks the third time Cooper has been traded in his career, with a trade from the Oakland Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys in 2018, then Cooper was traded from the Cowboys to the Browns in 2022.
So far this season, Cooper has hauled in 24 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns for the Browns. He has not recorded any rushing stats since 2020.
In his career, Cooper has caught 691 passes for 9,736 yards and 62 touchdowns. He's also caught 448 first-down conversions in his nine-year career.
Cooper was a first-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2015, selected No. 4 overall. In three seasons at Alabama, Cooper caught 228 passes for 3,463 yards and 31 touchdowns. in 2014, Cooper won the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the best wide receiver in college football, was a unanimous All-American, and SEC Offensive Player of the Year.
Cooper will join with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Josh Allen, when he arrives in Buffalo, New York.
The Bills will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, October 20, at Noon CT. Cooper is expected to make his Bills' debut then.
