Four Star Defensive Lineman Places Alabama in Top 10
Kalen DeBoer and the entire Alabama staff have been working tirelessly on the recruiting trail to add to Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class that currently ranks sixth in the nation and third in the SEC, with the class already having five commits: two cornerbacks (No.2 CB and No. 11 CB in the class), one edge rusher (four-star commit), one interior offensive lineman (four-star commit), and one interior defensive lineman (four-star commit), according to On3.

Alabama appears to be in the running for its second defensive lineman commit in the 2026 class. Four-star defensive lineman Brian Harris announced his top ten schools on his X profile earlier this week. The list features six SEC schools, two Big Ten schools, two Big 12 schools, and one ACC school.
- Alabama
- Auburn
- Oklahoma
- Penn State
- Colorado
- South Carolina
- Michigan
- Stanford
- Mississippi State
- West Virginia
Harris is a four-star defensive lineman from Jacksonville, Florida, entering his senior season at Mandarin High School. He had an impressive junior year, which earned him rankings as the No. 20 defensive lineman and No. 69 prospect from Florida in the 2026 class according to Rivals.
Alabama recently extended an offer to the prospect on April 22nd, after he visited Capstone during the Crimson Tide’s A-Day on April 12th. This made Alabama an immediate contender for the defensive lineman. In an interview with Brett Greenberg from 247 Sports, Harris expressed his excitement about the offer, stating, “I was jumping up and down… it’s amazing, man.”
The Florida native is expected to schedule an official visit with the Tide sometime in the upcoming months, with Harris being very high on the Crimson Tide, and Alabama’s defensive lineman coach Freddie Roach with Harris telling Touchdown Alabama “They’re known for their toughness, attention to detail, and high-level competition every day in practice. With Coach Roach leading the D-line and the tradition they’ve built, it’s definitely a place built for guys who want to be great.”
Harris would be a significant addition for the Tide. The four-star prospect boasts a massive athletic frame on the defensive line, standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 290 pounds. He is a highly skilled defensive lineman who combines power and explosiveness off the line of scrimmage with quick hands that allow him to break through an offensive line with ease. Back in February, Harris was named MVP at the UA Next Series Camp in Orlando, which further highlights his talent as a four-star defensive lineman from Mandarin.
As of today, Harris has scheduled official visits with eight of the ten schools on his list. The only two schools he has not yet scheduled visits with are Alabama and Colorado. However, I anticipate that this will change in the coming weeks, as Harris is likely to announce his official visit to Tuscaloosa soon. DeBoer and his staff will need to act quickly since they offered a scholarship to this four-star prospect just under a month ago. Harris, who is ranked as the No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2026 class by Rivals, has already completed one official visit, which took place last Friday, May 2, to West Virginia.
According to On3, Harris has seven Official Visits remaining as of right now, with his full list including:
- May 16- Stanford
- May 30- South Carolina
- June 6- Oklahoma
- June 10- Auburn
- June 13- Michigan
- June 17- Mississippi State
- June 20- Penn State
