Grant Nelson Questionable for Sunday
Cleveland, Ohio. - Grant Nelson, the 6-foot-11 forward from Devil's Lake North Dakota, was not supposed to play in Alabama's 90-81 victory over Robert Morris in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday. However, as Alabama saw its lead dwindling in the second half, Nelson and Oats decided to put him into the game.

In just seven minutes of play, Nelson scored five points and collected three rebounds in the victory. Postgame, Nelson said his knee was "a little sore."
On Saturday, Nelson took the podium and gave an update on his status.
"I mean, I'm feeling pretty good, so I'm sure it's going to be the same - like where I'm pretty much questionable, and it's going to be day-to-day," Nelson said. "But I'm going to see how I feel, and it's going to be a game-time decision. But I'm going to stick with my rehab plan, and it seems to be working."
Nelson typically starts for Alabama when healthy. In the game against Robert Morris (where Nelson was available but not starting), 6-foot-11 Jarin Stevenson started in his place. If Nelson does not start on Sunday, expect Stevenson to fill back in.
