The Alabama Crimson Tide has the opportunity to claim its third Heisman trophy in program history as Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, along with Oklahoma's Kyler Murray and Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins, will be the finalist for this season's Heisman trophy.

In the last 20 years of the award, 15 quarterbacks have won including the 2001 award winner Nebraska quarterback Eric Crouch.

Crouch joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss how winning the Heisman trophy changed his life.

"It changes your life if you let it and I've always tried to remain the same person that I always was before the award," Crouch said. "And understand that the award was ultimate team honor. The more and more you realize this trophy is the ultimate team award.

"You have many other guys, many other people, coaches, training staff, family members that have helped along the way. I wouldn't have been close to New York City receiving a Heisman trophy if it wasn't for all the people that were surrounding me throughout my career and throughout my days at Nebraska."

From one quarterback to another, Crouch also shared this thoughts on what he's seen from Tagovailoa throughout this season.

"I just see an amazing focus out of him," Crouch said. "That's what I've admired most about watching him play. He's got a great ability to lead and I think when you have a player that has that quality, he brings the best in everybody around him out. It's just so much fun to watch, the energy that comes from that type of player. It's not like this is how everybody is, if everybody was like that there would be a thousand people up for the award. But it's a rare talent to be able to do that at such a high level.

"I wish him the best, everybody is very deserving that's going and he has a incredible chance to be the next Heisman trophy winner. And whoever it is, I welcome to the club."

He also discussed if Tagovailoa's performance in the SEC Championship game could sway votes away from the sophomore QB in favor of Murray's strong performance against Texas in the BIG 12 Championship. But he insist he looks for more of a overall season performance rather than one game struggles, although he was unable to say who he's vote went to.
