Alabama junior wing player Herbert Jones has declared for the NBA draft. Jones has decided not to hire an agent as he navigates the pre-draft process. Jones joins Kira Lewis Jr. and John Petty Jr. who declared for the NBA draft earlier in the week. Jones announced his decision on his Instagram today.

Jones played in 27 games this season for the Crimson Tide, he averaged 7.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and .7 blocks per game. Jones was the unquestioned defensive leader for the Tide as he battled through injuries to his shoulder and wrist. The junior wing played the end of the year with a broken wrist and largely played with one working hand.

Jones was a three-star recruit out of Hale County High School in Moundville, Alabama in the 2017 recruiting class. Jones started in 68 of the 96 games he played in for the Crimson Tide.

He will have until June 15 to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft if he wants to decide to come back to school.
