Kane Wommack & Keon Sabb Update Sabb’s Health from Tennessee Injury
Alabama safety Keon Sabb broke his foot in the Tide's 24-17 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers last season, ending Sabb's season early. Now, as Alabama prepares for the 2025 college football season, Sabb is back in the lineup for the Crimson Tide.

A broken foot is a tough injury, though, and takes time to return to 100%. Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack was asked bout Sabb's health from a coaching standpoint during Saturday's media availability after practice.
"Keon's doing a really good job," Wommack said. "He has really pushed; our training staff has done a great job with him. I think he's ahead of, really, every marker we had in the offseason for him. And we weren't sure if he was going to be able to go to the level that he's going right now at the beginning of fall camp, but he is, and he's here.
"I don't know if I could put a number on it exactly, but he's out there playing with our guys, so he's comfortable enough to do that. Sometimes, you know, those injuries, you just gotta build a callous of coming back, and I think that's something that he's really pushing himself right now to get ready for the season."
"I'm feeling really good," Sabb said when asked how close to 100% he is. "Jeff Allen and Coach Ballou did a great job getting me ready for the season, and I think I'm really close. I'm getting there."
