Nick Saban Shoots Down Coaching Rumors on PMS
The coaching cycle has already started in college football, with numerous programs firing their coaches before the end of the season. Some big-name programs are already open (Penn State, Florida), while others may be on the verge of having an unplanned coaching search if their seasons don't turn around quickly.

Every year, rumors swirl about former Alabama head coach Nick Saban and a potential return to coaching. Every school would want a seven-time national champion leading its program, especially someone who has won at multiple programs like Saban has.
Nick and Terry Saban have consistently shut down rumors with a lighthearted tone, including last week, when Mrs. Terry told the world on College Gameday that they 'wouldn't want to take the opportunity away from their baby coaches.'
"I have no doubt, if Nick (Saban) wanted to go back to coaching, he could win his eighth national championship," Terry Saban said. "But we're having too much fun, and we wouldn't want to take that opportunity away from our baby coaches, like Kirby (Smart) and Lane (Kiffin). I haven't heard a number yet."
Mrs. Terry likes to hear numbers, but Nick Saban doesn't seem to have any interest, based on his latest interview with Pat McAfee on his show.
"I wanna stay retired," Saban said on Friday. "And I do not want [Jimmy Sexton] anywhere near Mrs. Terry. Cause when she hears some of these numbers, she gets interested. And I'm not interested... no way."
That won't do much to quell the college football rumor mill, which lights up like an ember in a stack of hay with just one tweet or message board post.
