Saban expresses his own shock and anger for the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery. He calls for us as a society to view ourselves as a team who sets aside our differences and come together as a society to treat one another with respect and dignity.

Saban quotes Dr. Martin Luther King, "Injustices anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied to a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

Tuscaloosa is holding its own protest in front of the Tuscaloosa Court House later today.

The senseless violence against unarmed people of color by police force must stop. The events of the last week have inspired many people throughout the sports world to come out and speak against the recent deaths.
