Oats may have found his answer, with former NDSU Bison Grant Nelson deciding to stay in the transfer portal and withdraw from the NBA draft.

Nelson is set to visit the Capstone, per 247Sports. While a date is yet to be announced, Alabama is the only team to have an reported visit for Nelson.

The 6-foot-11 big man would be the perfect replacement for Noah Clowney/Charles Bediako. Nelson is a do-it-all kind of player, possessing elite mobility, rebounding, and the ability to stretch the floor, making a perfect fit in Oats' system.

Landing Nelson could launch the Tide into top-15 preseason rankings, putting Alabama in position for another Sweet Sixteen appearance.
