The Alabama Crimson Tide signed 20 players to its 2026 recruiting class on Early Signing Day on Wednesday, including five-star running back EJ Crowell from Jackson, Alabama.

On Thursday, Alabama added its second running back signee of the 2026 class, with Huntsville, Texas, native Trae'shawn Brown signing with the Crimson Tide during the early signing day period.
Brown is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound three-star running back, rated as the No. 678 overall prospect, the No. 42 running back, and the No. 95 player in the state of Texas. He held offers from Arkansas State, Navy, New Mexico State, Boise State, and North Texas before the Crimson Tide swooped in and signed him on Thursday.
During his senior campaign in 2025, Brown finished the year with 1,362 yards and 17 touchdowns, with 13 receptions for 204 yards. He had seven games with 100 rushing yards or more as a senior. He is also a multi-sport athlete, with a 100-meter time of 11.46 and a 200-meter time of 23.93.
As a sophomore in 2024, he rushed for 752 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games, averaging just over 100 yards per game.
As the early signing period wraps up on Friday, Alabama currently holds the No. 4 signing class, according to the 247 Sports Team Rankings. Brown is Alabama's first signee from Texas in the 2026 signing class.
Alabama may not yet be done with signees in the 2026 class, with the early signing period ending on Friday.
