Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was one of 22 players added to the Manning Award Watchlist, awarded annually to the top quarterback in college football. The Manning Award was created by the Sugar Bowl to honor the college accomplishments of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning, and it is the only quarterback award to factor in bowl statistics in its voting process.
