When the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team went on five game losing streak to end the 2017-18 regular season, fans began to question if head coach Avery Johnson was the answer for the job.

Those speculation was proven wrong as the players rallied together in the SEC Tournament to defeat the Texas A&M Aggies and the Auburn Tigers before going to the NCAA Tournament and getting their first tournament victory since 2006.

The team was led by freshman point guard Collin Sexton, who would score over 20 points in four of his last five games at Alabama including 31 points in a victory over the Tigers in the second game of the SEC Tournament.

Sexton's resume of SEC Freshman of the Year and a All-American has cumulated in a trip to the NBA Draft this summer with the Alabama logo showing up in the first round of the draft since Gerald Wallace back in 2001.

As he prepares for the draft, Sexton remains in Tuscaloosa and joined The Game with Ryan Fowler live from the grand opening of Julio Jones Kia/Mazda and discusses the reason he decided to come to Alabama, believing in Coach Johnson and him building something special at Alabama, working out with Atlanta Falcons wide receiver and Alabama's own Julio Jones, and bringing his killer instant mentality on offense to the NBA level.

To listen to the conversation Sexton had with Ryan Fowler, make sure you watch the video above the article. Don't miss The Game weekday afternoons from 2-6 p.m. for the latest surrounding the Alabama Crimson Tide.
